Read These 3 Books to Kickoff 2020

There are a lot of business-related books out there and it can be overwhelming to sort through them all. While there are many more we would recommend adding to your "to be read" list, here are our top 3 picks to start your reading list for 2020:

1. Building a Storybrand by Donald Miller

This book will reshape the way you think about marketing.

From how to convey your message in the most meaningful (and profitable) way, to how to build your website - the book is full of tangible takeaways you can start implementing immediately.

The author also provides links to free online tools to get you started and help you craft your own Storybrand script.

2. The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni

While this book has been around for awhile, it still makes our top 3 list for 2020. The majority of the book is written as a fictional story - telling you the fable of a recently appointed CEO working to salvage the executive team of a struggling tech company.

Don't be fooled by the easy read, however. The insight and real-world application gleaned from this fable are invaluable. The author outlines a hierarchy of five components - all of which much be addressed for effective teamwork and business success.

3. Radical Candor by Kim Scott

Even if you aren't in a supervisory (or "boss") position we recommend you read this book. This no-nonsense guide to open and authentic conversations is overflowing with practical application - in both professional and personal settings.

The author doesn't hold back in disclosing her fair share of failures, and the lessons she's learned can save you a lot of wasted time and headaches.
